Private pilot training PPL(H)

You can lay the foundations today for your dream of becoming a helicopter pilot. As the most acclaimed helicopter school in Austria we offer you a first class pilot training with our modern helicopter fleet which is maintained to the highest standards. Throughout your training you will be taught exclusively by first class experienced civil flight instructors, who have been certified by the Civil Aviation Authority.

The training to become a private helicopter pilot requires 4 to 8 months, depending on which course was selected. It includes practical training of of a minimum of 40 helicopter flight hours and ground instructions in the following subjects:

  • Aeroplane General Knowledge / Helicopter General Knowledge
  • Aviation Law
  • Navigation / Geography
  • Meteorology
  • Principles of Flight
  • Human Performance and Limitations 
  • Operational Procedures 
  • Flight Performance and Planning

In the PPL(H) training, theoretical instruction totals approx. 100 hours. The courses take place on one or two evenings per week or can be individually scheduled.
